Blind Spot

premiere on 25 September 2023 at the Auditorium Sophie Dessus (Uzerche)and on 26 and 27 at the Espace Noriac (Limoges)

Blind spot is a theatrical and musical performance in six parts, brought to the stage by five women artists who combine their talents, cultures and humour to create a new tale for our humanity. Blind spot is a poetic and political journey that offers a new look at our social body, linking unread books that are nonetheless engraved in our memories and legal systems, linking the unspoken words of History to the implicit prejudices slammed in TV series or TikTok’s, chanted in the public square and insidiously infiltrating even the most intimate relationships.

Blind spot examines non-universal codes in the light of economic and political issues, to make the possibility of telling stories differently visible for the duration of a show in order to inhabit the world differently and build a common future.

So that, as Rodney Saint-Éloi so aptly put it: “racism, that word with no horizon, does not take up all the space… and so that we never lose sight of the sun”.
